JAL’s KIX–BKK Business Class: Not Up to the Mark

Flying business class usually sets certain expectations. However, for one traveler on Japan Airlines from Kansai (KIX) to Bangkok (BKK), the experience didn’t quite deliver.

Dated Cabin Layout

The Boeing 787 featured a 2-2-2 seat configuration, which felt outdated. Comfort was lacking, and there was no welcome drink offered.

Disruptive Cabin Noise

Cabin noise was an issue throughout the flight. Loose cabinets added to the disturbance, affecting the overall experience.

Underwhelming Amenities

The amenity kit stood out, but not in a good way. It was seen as below par compared to what other airlines typically provide in business class.

Poorly Timed Service

Breakfast was served nearly three hours before landing, on a flight that lasted just 5.5 hours. The timing felt off and disrupted rest.

Key Highlights from the Review:
  • Outdated 2-2-2 seating on a B787
  • No welcome drink offered
  • Loose cabinets caused noise
  • Amenity kit felt below average
  • Breakfast served too early into the flight
Final Thoughts

The flight left much to be desired. From comfort to service timing, it didn’t meet the usual business class standards expected from JAL.
