Flying business class comes with its set of expectations, and a recent journey from Male to Almaty with Air Astana in March 2025 offered some insights worth noting. While the experience had its positives, a few elements left room for improvement.
In-Flight Service & Amenities
Passengers were welcomed onboard with a choice of Prosecco or juice, setting a pleasant tone. A warm towel and a small serving of warm nuts followed shortly after.
Meal Service & Food Quality
The overall food experience was less impressive. The main course arrived on a full tray alongside the appetiser. Unfortunately, by the time the starter was done, the main dish had gone cold. Taste-wise, the food quality was described as mediocre.
Seating Comfort & Crew Presence
The business class seat was simple, not very fancy, but good enough for the trip. However, one thing that stood out was that the crew wasn’t around much during the flight.
